About
Ballyshear Golf Links, operated by Ban Rakat Club Co., Ltd., is a members-only 18-hole course (par 71, 7,115 yards) in Bang Bo, Samut Prakan, about 25 minutes from Suvarnabhumi Airport. It was designed by Gil Hanse (designer of the Rio 2016 Olympic golf course) as a Scottish-style links inspired by Charles Blair Macdonald and Seth Raynor's Lido Golf Course, featuring classic template holes such as Redan, Alps, Biarritz, Channel, Cape and Punch Bowl. The name is a homage to Macdonald's Southampton, New York estate "Ballyshear." The club explicitly describes itself as a membership-only course and publishes no public green-fee rates.
