Golf near BTS & MRT: playing Bangkok without a car
Bangkok's real golf courses sit on the city's edges, which is a problem if you don't drive. But you don't need a full course to get a game in — the indoor simulators and driving ranges that have opened across the city are mostly within a short walk or ride of a BTS or MRT station, and a couple of proper courses are a quick taxi from the line.
Simulators are the car-free golfer's best friend
Indoor golf simulators (Trackman, Golfzon and others) have spread through central Bangkok's malls and office buildings — many of them steps from a station. You get a real swing, real ball data and a full course on screen, by the hour, with no drive and no weather to worry about.
Ranges to hit a bucket after work
- Several two-tier driving ranges sit inside the city, close to transit — ideal for a quick bucket on the way home.
- Ball prices are low (often ฿100–200 a basket), so it's an easy, cheap way to keep your swing between rounds.
- Most open late, so an after-work session lines up with the evening trains.
