The best time of year to play golf in Thailand

Updated 6 August 2026

Thailand is a year-round golf destination, but the experience changes a lot with the season. Knowing what to expect helps you pick the right month — and the right tee time.

The three seasons

  • Cool season (Nov–Feb): the peak — comfortable mornings, dry fairways, and the busiest tee sheets. Book ahead.
  • Hot season (Mar–May): very hot midday; play early and hydrate. Green fees can dip with demand.
  • Green season (Jun–Oct): lush courses and the best value, with afternoon showers you can usually play around.

Beat the heat

Whatever the season, an early tee time is your friend — cooler air, quicker greens, and you're off the course before the midday sun. Many courses also offer floodlit night golf; Weekendpar flags which ones on their course pages.
