Phuket Country Club (Phuket Golf & Country Club) was established in 1989 on a reclaimed tin mine in the Kathu valley, mid-way between Phuket Town and Patong Beach. It offers 27 holes across two layouts: the 18-hole, par-72 Old Course — whose signature hole is the par-5 10th (557 yards), a dogleg-right around a large lake, with a par-3 17th island green — and a 9-hole, par-36 Country Club Course (3,375 yards) with four tee boxes per hole and water hazards on about 90% of holes. Green fees are published: 4,000 THB for 18 holes on the Old Course and a 1,600 THB flat rate on the Country Club Course, each plus a compulsory 400 THB caddie fee. Facilities include a driving range, club house with panoramic course views, golf shop, club rental and mini-van transfers; the club has a long history of hosting senior PGA and royal-cup tournaments.
